She has dedicated herself to supporting and guiding people to improve their health and prevent disease and injury. In 2013, Dr. Kate proudly founded the "Divine Structure Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy School." She underwent a rigorous 10-years of training to become a certified teacher through the [Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America](https://www.craniosacraltherapy.org/approved-teachers), under the guidance of Michael Kern Osteopath, and Cherionna Menzam-Sills PhD.

Dr. Kate bases her teachings on her extensive experience working with patients over the years. She emphasizes sharing practical experiences in her work.

Dr. Kate had her first craniosacral therapy session while in Chiropractic College from an upper class mate. She was super stressed, taking classes from 9-5, then studying late into the night.  After that session at 21 years old, she woke. She knew from a young age that she wanted to use her hands and mind to support people. Dr. Kate is a hybrid person who has the science background, as well as trust in the energetic phenomena of healing.

She became enamored with craniosacral therapy because it always made her feel healthy and calm.  She was in the cranial club in Chiropractic college. In those days her classmates and her would have two people treat one person giving a craniosacral session. They would  time the tides, and compare what they felt. There was a lot happening in those sessions back then that no one had a vocabulary for. In 1986, she attended an Upledger CranioSacral Course with author and teacher Dr. Clyde Ford. He made a strong impression on her, which made her want to pursue cranial studies even more.

After completing  graduate  school from University of Western States with a DC degree, she practiced a blend of Upledger style Craniosacral Therapy, as well as Chiropractic, and Applied Kinesiology Nutrition.  In the late 1990's she traveled to London to take a 5 day cranial course with British Cranial Osteopaths. This is where she first met Osteopath Michael Kern. From there she took his training in Boston and graduated in 2001 as a biodynamic craniosacral therapist.

Imprints for her life work.
Dr. Kate has spent most of her life in the Amherst/Northampton area since moving from New Delhi India where her dad was a headmaster at the American International School in 1972. In India, She was highly influenced by East Indian culture. She witnessed a man collapsing in her yard, and a healer came over and healed him with bodywork, bringing him back to consciousness. This began to make her curious about health and hands on body work. She used to walk on her dad's back as a kid to help him get out of pain.which In India her family took a trip in the summer to the Woodstock school in the Himalayas where they stopped at an ashram. She experienced chanting and singing that moved her deeply. Back then she did not realize it but she started to connect with the spiritual aspects of herself as a 7 year old.

Over the years she has found that she is a highly sensitive person that has a knack for knowing what is happening with other people on many levels. Luckily she chose a profession that suits her natural way of being. Dr. Kate likes to investigate and study and continually updates and improves her teaching and practice. Her own personal growth journey has also allowed her to teach and support others.

Her father Don Klemer was considered a radical educator in the 1960's trying to introduce racial desegregation in public school systems, before moving to India to become the headmaster at the American International School.

Her mother Libby Courant Klemer was suddenly widowed in 1972 and left with six kids, aged 8-18 years old. She went back to school and got her doctorate at University of Massachusetts. Her mother was a grant writer and dean for community colleges in Massachusetts. She helped non-traditional students go back to school.

Dr. Kate's grandparents were in healthcare as nurses and dentists.

Her other grandparents came in from Ireland, the Azore's, and Romania and worked hard to pass on their strength so that Dr. Kate could have the privilege of going to college to do what she loves to do.

After losing her dad suddenly, her family exploded. They moved to Amherst from India overnight, and her Mom enrolled in UMass for her doctorate a few months later so she could carry the family. Kate was disoriented and destabilized at 8 years old. A predator professor married her mother soon after her father's death. By the time Kate was 15 the predator left her mother for one of her friends. He had left another family to join ours, and then left our family, leaving the Klemer's holding a long line of destruction that has influenced us all our entire lives. He was an example of someone who did not do their personal work which caused much suffering in others because of this.

Dr Kate always knew since she was a young child that being in the woods with her dog always soothed her system. This orientation to nature, and her steady dog pal Caesar healed her heart along with her friends.

In Kate's cranial training in 2001 with Michael Kern she learned about resourcing and the tides. This was a phenomenal shift in her consciousness that she always felt, but never knew consciously. Since then she relies on the tides, and resources to carry her through life's challenges. Feeling the tides in the body with Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy has brought what Kate felt as a child in the natural world out front and center in her body. Chiropractic has been highly effective, grounding, and embodied, and nutrition supports the biochemistry.

She lives with her wife Debby, and their dogs Mushie and Sadie in  the paradise  city  of Northampton. She likes to walk the pups daily on long nature walks, make artistic boxes, and bike, as well as study esoteric science, biochemistry, neurology,  quantum physics, and anatomy.

She has Learned to deeply trust her body and its language to promote health. Dr Kate knows that words often carry less meaning than the messages conveyed by the body. Your body never lies; and listening to the body deeply is transformative. We all carry at all times a place of safety and stability within ourselves called the tides and the blueprint.

In ancient indigenous cultures, our bodies were seen as an integral part of the interconnected whole. By quieting ourselves and attuning to the greater forces that underpin everything, we tap into our innate intelligence for healing. Actively listening, feeling, and observing what is happening within us is a potent pathway to healing. As we name the different layers of anatomy, emotion, and spiritual connection, it grounds us in present time. Being present and orienting to the light and vitality in ourselves and others is what heals us.

When we choose to align ourselves with our shared connection to the entire planet and each other, we embrace the diverse expressions of the forces that sustain us all. We are all interconnected within a unified field of the tides that breathe plants, animals, and humans in our collective field. When we all orient to blueprint, the tides, dynamic stillness, and the light we all carry, we will save our planet for generations to come.
